When I click on the link to an EBSCO eBook it says, "Sorry! This ebook is in use."

Answer

Levels of access to particular EBSCO eBooks vary from one simultaneous user to unlimited simultaneous users. When all copies of an eBook with limited simultaneous users are in use, anyone else who tries to access the full text will get a message that it’s in use. If it is being read online, it will time out and become available to others within an hour or so. However, most EBSCO eBooks may be checked out and downloaded for up to 14 days. During that time period, books that have reached their simultaneous user limit will be unavailable until the checkout period expires.

The detailed record view includes information about the number of copies in the library collection and the number of copies currently available for use.

You may place a hold on up to 5 EBSCO eBooks. See EBSCO's FAQ for more information on placing holds.

Tip: A few books, such as the IVP Bible Dictionaries, are available on multiple eBook platforms. Check the library catalog to see if a copy might be available in another database.
